Samuel School of Prophecy

Learning how to know Him, hear Him, and share Him to the World.

introduction to prophecy

Understanding Prophecy begins with first understanding who God is and how He created Adam. Adam functioned as Prophet (spokesperson), Priest (representative), and King (authority) of God in the Garden of Eden. Our understanding of prophecy has to be rooted in our original design. We then examine Jesus and how He functioned in these three offices as the “greater Adam”. Jesus is our model for prophetic ministry. “The testimony of Jesus, IS the spirit of Prophecy” (Revelation 19:10).

old testament vs. new testament prophecy

An examination of the similarities and differences between OT and NT prophecy is absolutely crucial in our understanding and practice of prophecy today. In the Old Testament, God hand selected prophets who acted as direct representatives to the nation of Israel calling them back into covenantal faithfulness. In the NT, God uses prophets for the edification of the church, and the gift of prophecy in conjunction with the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations.

In this session, we examine in depth what the New Testament role of prophecy is and practical ways that it's called to function.

prophecy, visions, dreams

The Bible shows us the various ways which God speaks to His people. We believe that God is still alive today and is still speaking. In this section we take an often neglected topic of Biblically understanding the topic of visions, dreams, and prophecy. We believe that it is the role of the church to not only be familiar with supernatural phenomena, but that we should be spiritually intelligent for a world who is curious and craving to understand the unseen realm.
